Well, Christmas is over, its a mixed blessing i guess...the stress is over but i really enjoy the attitude of the hollidays. i have a little news. last Monday i had my first physical therapy apointment. after that i had severe pain reacure which i have been having in my right side. i have even been to a pain specalist, who thinks its nerve damage affilliated with my mastecomy which is causing deabillitating pain. which has been annoying me for about a month, maybe longer...(another side effect of the chemo is my memory is shot to hell, my time line is no more...i cant tell, whether something happened two days ago of 5 days ago...its fun when your trying to tell a story or explain symptons to your docter....) anyways, everyday is different, some days i am a 5 on the pain scale other days im an 8, and good days im a 3!...anyways back to my story....so after my physical therapy i was about an 8, which lasted untill the next day whch was chemo day...(i should also mention that i had been having other symptoms as well, such as severe shortness of breath and coughing, i was walking up the stairs a few days pryer and almost passed out because of the horrible shortness of breath...)i went in and had a fever of a 101.4. plus the forementioned pain and shortness of breath and so on...well, in lue of making this story realy long, i will cut to the chase...they think my disease is getting worse...bummer, huh? anyways, happy new year! PS, my second PT appointment is tomorrow…

hi erica! merry christmas and happy new year! i'm really sorry to hear about classy, she was such a part of your family. sorry to hear about your pain coming back too, i hope there's something they can do to make it more comfortable. You're in my thoughts and wish 2009 brings you more steps forward in your recovery. love, amanda
WOW, i just re-read my last comment....how depressed was i that day? jeeze louise...anyways, pains better, the physical therapy has really been helping i think...i only have pain now, maybe, we'll say, for the sake of arguement...half the time...and i think my cancer is taking a turn for the better...i dont want to get too excited, but i have another CAT scan in a couple weeks and depending on the outcome of that, i will go to anchorage and have a PET scan(thats the scan that lights up all the cancer in your entire body) and if that is clean...i can quit with the chemo already...now im not jumping up and down yet....ive been here before, and have been let down...so, im going to try to stay possitive, and by the grace of God i will be ok.
on a lighter subject, it was my 25th birthday on Jan 7th, i had a very nice get together at my house with a few very close friends...it was perfect...i want to say thank you to everyone who made my day special....i love you all...well, so long for now...erica
i just had another CT scan yesterday, and i got the results today...vast improvement! im very excited! but i still have at least 2 months of chemo left, i will probobly get a PET scan at the end of the 2 months....i have been doing well lately, feeling good and all...i wish more people would call me though:( anyways, just thought i would update everyone on the good news! peace out!
Erica- Great news about your CT scan. Keep up the good work.Willow, but not as bad as up there.
We had one warm day so I had a "spa day" for my horses and groomed them them head to tail. Ida's horse "Cat" is retired now, but sure enjoys attention like that.
It doesn't seem like it, but spring is on the way, so enjoy the increasing daylight!!
